14A Halfway Reflection

1) With an exception or two, every single behavior that I have developed in this class that has genuinely helped me is related to planning in one way or another. With all due respect to this class, this class is well described as tedious, its nothing too hard but you need to be consistent, committed, and respectful to the amount of reflection and curious thinking the course requires. To keep up with the assignments, get ahead and set reminders and alarms. Use a calendar or a planner, just because this isn't high school doesnt mean its not cool to use a planner. Even if a planner isnt cool, an A in the class is.

2) I'll be honest. I felt like giving up before doing this very assignment. I had two papers and an exam due this week and next week I have three papers and two exams. What kept me going to do these assignments? knowing that in one week I'll have spring break to do as I please and sleep as much as I want. I remind myself I am paying for this class (well my grandparents are) and I would feel ashamed telling my parents I didn't get an A in a class that essentially only grades for completion.

3) 3 Tips
-Be organized and on time, do not miss assignments because "you forgot".
-Give the first couple weeks of assignments extra time for reflection and curiosity, this class is harder and more annoying when you are not actually invested/committed to your idea.
-Work with classmates. Do not copy other people's idea but try to look where other people have looked for different kinds of inspiration.
